Abstract:
The anthocyanin of Hibiscus subdariffa was identified by using preparative paper chromatography.
By the aid of authentic samples, Rf values, the spectral data and partial hydrolysis the anthocyanin in Roselle was identified as delphinidin 3-glucoside, delphinidin 3,5-diglucoside and cyanidin 3-glucoside.
