Abstract:
The experiment was conducted in Pomological Orchard in 1994 – 2001 on mineral soil.
It included the following cultivars: Bluegold, Bluetta, Nelson and Sunrise.
Bluecrop was the standard cultivar.
Plant vigour, time of ripening, yield and fruit size were measured. Bluetta plants showed the weakest growth and Nelson the strongest.
Bluetta berries began to ripen in the first decade of July (10 days prior to Bluecrop). Nelson produced the latest ripening fruit.
Bluetta bore the smallest fruit and gave the lowest yield.
Bluecrop and Nelson gave the highest crop and the largest berries.
