| Abstract:
This paper discusses the technology for handling chrysanthemum flowers for export by sea shipment. The various postharvest handling operations involved include harvesting stage, sorting, trimming, pulsing treatment, packing, fumigation, temporary storage and transportation. The normal procedural requirements at importing countries and the needs for the continuous postharvest handling cares upon reaching the markets are also elaborated. | |
