Abstract:
A research to evaluate the removal rhythm of nutrient elements (N,P,K), in various stages of carnation cultural cycle was carried out in an experimental field of the Agronomy Institute, Bari University.
The research has been conducted on 'Chaboud' carnation, from seeds.
The samples were taken every 14 days beginning from the trasplanting, for a 238 days period.
In that period, carnations removed 28.2 kg of N, 5.3 of P2O5 and 74.7 of K2O on a 1000 m2 basis (25,000 plants) with a ratio of 1.0 : 0.2 : 2.6. During these period (238 days) 9.121 kg of green metter equal to 1.653 kg of dry metter and 225000 marketable flowers (9 flowers/plant) were obtained
