The concept of the Multinational Brassica Genome Project emerged in 2002 and a Steering Group was formed in 2003. Since them, the project has gathered momentum, will many resources being offered for communal use and a large-scale collaborative project initiated. A project to sequence the 550 Mb genome of Brassica rapa ssp. pekinensis (Chinese cabbage) is under way. | |
