Abstract:
One of the objectives proposed to be achieved within the breeding programme with apricot tree at Fruit Research Station Constanta is the "extension the harvesting season with apricot tree in order to obtain varieties with late ripening as well as varieties with early and very early ripening". Then many parents have already been used under hybridisation programs along the years. Presently, a rich stock of selections with new traits and features resulted from works of crossing and selection. Nine of them were selected as promising selections. All these are of very early ripening period.
