Abstract:
Fruit Research Station of Constanta, in Romania, conducted selection activities during twenty years on the base of wild and cultivated tree germplasm of Dobrogea.
A great number of apricot rootstocks within the framework of some rootstock and cultivar-rootstock experiments were tested.
As a result of the investigations, two seedling rootstocks ('Constanta 14' and 'Constanta 16') were selected at the Fruit Research Station Constanta, introduced in 1997 and registered in "The Official List of cultivars (hybrids) cultivated in Romania" in 1998.
