| Abstract:
Strategic options for the development of agriculture in a transitional economy are demonstrated by an examination of the Republic of Croatia in world and European trade. Research shows possibilities for Croatian agriculture to generate a significant trade surplus, but to achieve this, agriculture in Croatia must overcome many competitive disadvantages. Only by addressing these cost inefficiencies will Croatia be able to achieve a greater penetration of the European and world market for agri-food products. | |
