| Abstract:
The present studies were conducted in the year 2002, 2003 with the imperative to systematically evaluate the available biodiversity in plum germplasm with regard to tree growth, vigour, phenology of vegetative and reproductive behaviour and fruit characters including fruit analysis to identify germplasm for further varietal development. The results of the evaluation based on 30 different characters of each germplasm entry revealed that considerable scope exists for improvement for desired characters. | |
