STUDY ON THE POLLINATION AND FRUIT-SET ON "BLANCA DE ARANJUEZ" PEAR.

Abstract:
The "Blanca de Aranjuez" is a very important pear cultivar in Spain whose main problem is the low productivity.

Taken into account that the main factors to obtain a -- good production are the pollination and fruit set, we have study those process in the mentioned cultivar. For this purpose, several works has been accomplissed between 1.971 and 1.974.

These works can be summarized as follows:

Study of the pollinator varieties.
Influence of the preforal nitrogen applications in fruit set.
Study of the parthenocarpy fructification.
Study of the pollen tube growth and the longevity of the ovules.
