Abstract:
The effect of Alar, CCC and gibberellic acid (GA3) on the foliage, the fruiting and also the quality of the fruit are tested on the pear variety Williams, 20 years old and grafted on the quince A as rootstock.
On this variety the product Alar was less efficient than on apple.
However, the growth of shorts was considerably reduced by the CCC product and the crop increased.
The gibberellic acid (GA3) deformed the fruit (formation of parthenocarpic fruit) but the quality of the pears did not suffer.
The destillate from pear Williams treated with gibberellic acid, is as good as destillate from non-treated fruit.
The 3 products do not influence on a large scale the quality of the fruit.
