Abstract:
The data revealed that, the rotting of bulbs was not influenced significantly in kharif season during storage, while in rabi season rotting of bulbs declined significantly with increased levels of potash unto 150 kg/ha.
However, sprouting of bulbs in storage had declined during both seasons with successive increased levels of potash unto 150 kg/ha and was much faster in kharif than in rabi season.
The physiological loss in weight of the bulbs declined significantly in storage with every successive level of potash up to 150 kg/ha in rabi season, only up to 90 days of storage at ambient conditions.
