| Abstract:
The results of investigations upon the possible use of Echeveria gibbiflora as cut flower are presented. Clonally reproduced plants served as a source of flowering stems. The inflorescences are pyramidal in form, with vivid coral color of the stem, peduncles, buds, open and closed flowers. This species has showy inflorescences, especially the bright internal colors of opened flowers of numerous lateral inflorescences. The continuous appearance of new buds and flowers increases this speciesī exhibition value. The frequencies of the size of inflorescences, the number of lateral inflorescences, the number of buds developing into flowers, number of open flowers are listed. The low, but constant number of open flowers per one lateral inflorescence is compensated by the number of buds and closed flowers, which all together constitute the beauty of the whole inflorescence. | |
