Abstract:
A research was carried out in order to check the possibility of replacing bulb precooling with applications of gibberellin, at least in part.
The first results indicate that some of the techniques used in the study caused the average time to flowering to be reduced to the same proportion as with 45-day cold treatment.
None of the techniques induced any flower stem elongation
Furthermore, the application of gibberellin always induced a longer duration of flowering
