Abstract:
Magnetic Resonance Imaging, MRI, is studied under an on-line strategy. Two coronal FLASH types images have been acquired (279 ms acquisition time for lemons and 703 ms for oranges) under both static and dynamic conditions (0 and 50 mm/s respectively) and devoted algorithms for motion correction have been developed. The knowledge of the Fourier shift theorem is used as the main concept. Thus, the sample displacement during signal acquisition is modeled allowing signal correction before Fourier transforming. The quality of blurring erasing algorithm is measured by means of objective parameters. Comparison of both static and motion corrected images (85 in total) according to the accumulated histograms of the fruit show high coefficients of determination (R2 = 0.96 for lemons and 0.98 for oranges). An ANOVA on statistical features of static and motion corrected images shows no significant differences.
