Abstract:
The use of virus-tested fruit tree varieties expanded considerably in the last twenty years.
The Federal Agricultural Research Stations release budwood to the nurseries and to the fruit growers.
There is no national regulation of distribution and certification of fruit trees.
An agreement between Research Stations and nurserymen has been drawn.
The conditions of this agreement are listed.
The fruit growers have the possibility of buying virus-tested trees with a certificate of guarantee.
The programme is still in its initial stage.
