TETRACYCLINE TREATMENTS OF STONE FRUIT TREES AFFECTED BY APRICOT CHLOROTIC LEAF ROLL

Authors:   G. Llácer, J.A. Sánchez-Capuchino, J.B. Forner, R. Bono, R. Casanova
Abstract:
Trials with tetracycline HCI were carried out in the spring and summer of 1975 on Japanese plum, apricot and peach trees infected with apricot chlorotic leaf roll (ACLR).

In every case we found phytotoxicity as a result of the treatment. During the winter 1975–76 the vegetative disorders in the ACLR affected trees were completely or partially eliminated after treatment of the three mentioned species. In general, the yields of 1976 are being much higher in the treated trees, compared with those of the diseased controls.
