Authors:   J.C. Li, K. Yi, C. Liu, H.T. Sui, J.Z. Wang, Q.J. Zhang
Keywords:   volatile compound content, heritability, Pyrus sp.
Abstract:
Sixteen compounds including 5 esters, 8 alcohols, ethylene, aldehyde and acetone have been identified as the volatile compounds in the pear cultivars and progenies in this study. Various patterns were found. Amyl alcohol was found in the fruit of pear hybrid progenies, which had not been present in their parents.
