Abstract:
Plum bark split virus (PBSV) can protect plum cultivars and rootstocks from Plum pox virus (PPV) infection.
The occurred protection is closely dependent of the degree of resistance developed by the cultivars and the inoculum pressure spanning in the natural sites of infection.
Gas-chromatography of volatile compounds showed differences regarding the content of compounds and their area % in virus infected plum trees in comparison to control (healthy trees).
