Abstract:
Effects of foliar application of choline chloride (CC) and gibberellic acid (GA) on coloration, maturity, and quality of ‘Mibaek’ peaches were studied. Combined treatment of CC and GA increased shoot and leaf growth, and leaf chlorophyll content increased as CC level was increased. Fruit mineral content was higher in the order of Ca>N>P. Fruit weight was increased by 600 and 1,000 mg L-1 CC + 50 mg L-1 GA. Combined application of CC+GA increased the soluble solid content while CC increased the titratable acid content. Combined treatment of 600 mg L-1 CC + 50 mg L-1 GA resulted in even coloration with the Hunter a* and b* values of -5 to -10 and 30 to 40, respectively.
