GRAPEVINE GENOMICS IN FRANCE |

| Abstract:
Groups in Bordeaux, Colmar, Evry, Montpellier, Poitiers and Reims are coordinating their efforts towards the development of genomic grapevine resources (contact: A-F Adam-Blondon, adam@evry.inra.fr). A great boost has been given by financial support from the Génoplante consortium (www.genoplante.org) and from INRA (www.inra.fr) since 1999. This genomic program is coordinated with the International Grape Genome Program, IGGP (www.vitaceae.org). Further efforts of coordination at the european level will be made during the EU COST programm 858 (Biotic and abiotic stress:Grapevine defence mechanism and grape development) which will begin in 2003 (contact: S.
