ISHS Acta Horticulturae 64: Symposium on Production of Potted Plants and Cut Flowers

CONTROL OF FLOWER INITIATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF STATICE (LIMONIUM SINUATUM) BY TEMPERATURE AND DAYLENGTH

Author:   R. Shillo
Abstract:
Low temperature (11–13°C) is a prerequisite for flower initiation of blue cvs. Statice, 'Dunkelblau' and 'Midnight Blue'. Further development of flowers is favoured by higher temperatures (12–16°C at night and 22–27°C during the day). Daylength does not affect flower initiation but LD promotes the development of flowers.
