Abstract:
Based on the morphological and physiological interactions during chimera development, molecular interactions were studied in inter-generic chimeras between radish and red cabbage.
New chloroplast mosaic chimeras, (MMM spotted-type) and (MMR+MRR Spotted) were found and they had the earliest flowering nature.
Self-fertility is very high.
In order to study the interaction at a molecular level, we performed PCR experiments using atp6 specific primers.
Two parental specific fragments were obtained, 550bp for cabbage Ruby Ball and 1,100bp for radish Miryokuna.
The MRR part that contained the Miryokuna-Ruby Ball-Ruby Ball (L1 layer - L2 layer - L3 layer) mosaic chimera type had a specific 650bp fragment.
The specificity was confirmed by Southern Blot analysis.
