ISHS Acta Horticulturae 636: XXVI International Horticultural Congress: Key Processes in the Growth and Cropping of Deciduous Fruit and Nut Trees

THE EFFECT OF PARTICLE FILM TECHNOLOGY ON YIELD AND FRUIT QUALITY

Authors:   A. Erez, D.M. Glenn
Abstract:
Applications of particle films, of which the main constituent is kaolin, have a number of beneficial effects on the growth and cropping of fruit trees, particularly those grown in warm dry environments. Tree stress and sunburn of fruits are reduced and yield as well as fruit size and colour may be improved. This paper reviews some of the recent research conducted on the use of particle films on fruit crops.
