Abstract:
Tomato plants cv. Corindo F1 were planted to 12 cu dcm pots on April 2001. Spraying with 0.05 chitosan was carried out three times i.e. May 25th, June 5th and 15th. Chitosan showed good effectiveness in the control of powdery mildew (Oidium lycopersicum). Similar efficacy showed also Biosept 33 SL, Bion 50 WG, Tytanit and Florochron. Trichodex 25 WP and Tiowol 800 SC had weaker effect in the control of powdery mildew but there was only one treatment applied. The weakest effect was observed after mushroom waste use. In this case, plant growth was also retarded. An experiment was repeated in the fall of the same year. Tomato plants were treated three times i.e. September 10th and 15th and October 12th with all of the aids used before. The best results with the control of powdery mildew were observed after Biosept 33 SL and Bion 50 WG use. Chitosan was less active and Tytanit and Trichodex 25 WP were almost inactive.
