Abstract:
Microplant biotisation with one or more beneficial soil microbes is an emerging biotechnology aimed at reducing chemical input in plant production, whilst increasing plant fitness and productivity, in the context of a sustainable horticulture.
Successful examples of this biotechnology are presented as well as the difficulties that have to be overcome for its efficient application.
