Abstract:
The cauliflower cultivar Snowball was stored at 0+1°C under normal conditions (non-covered boxes and polyethylene bags) and CA. Curds were trimmed without leaves, with short jacket leaves out at the top curd level and with whole jacket leaves.
The storage period varied between 10 to 65 days depending on the treatment.
The small and middle sized curds stored in polyethylene bags gave the best results.
High CO2 level assured a better colour preservation than normal refrigerated storage.
