| Abstract:
A technology for the storage of head lettuce, Lactuca sativa L. and spring onions, Allium cepa L. also suitable for other greens is discussed. The principal feature of this technology is that the packages containing the product are inflated with nitrogen or air becoming elastic. This technique prevented evaporation, reduces respiration and protects the product from mechanical injury. | |
