| Abstract:
The third symposium about problems related to vegetable storage was arranged by the working group "Vegetable Storage" at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, U.S.A. from August 2 to 6, 1976. The symposium was attended by about 70 participants from 16 countries. We are happy that so many American scientists participated. Also at this symposium we had many papers of high quality which made the symposium both interesting and informative. The very good discussions added also to this. Hospitality, excellent accommodation and interesting excursions helped to make this symposium a success also. Our sincere thanks go to Professor Emeritus F. M. R. Isenberg and his coworkers who made this arragement possible. We also want to thank National Science Foundation, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University, Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce, Ithaca, NY, Porterway Harvester Manufacturing Co., Waterloo, NY and Air-Flo Manufacturing Co., Plattsburg, NY for financial support.
