Abstract:
During the five first years of comparison among U.S.A. and European highbush blueberry cultivars the highest yield was recorded on 'Heerma I', followed by 'Berkeley', 'Darrow' and 'Goldtraube 71'. The largest berries were produced by 'Darrow', 'Herbert', 'Berkeley' and 'Blueray'.
The earlier ripening cultivars were 'Collins', 'Heerma I', 'Ivanhoe' and 'Blueray'; the latest 'Heerma II', 'Coville', 'Herbert' and 'Darrow'.
The cultivars originating in Europe seem to be more vigorous than imported ones.
