Abstract:
Excellent progress has been made to describe temperate fruit varieties (Hedrick, 1917; Morettini, et al., 1962. Albertini, et al., 1996 Brooks and Olmo, 1970; Bellini and Scaramuzzi, 1976; Conte, et al., 1994; Okie, W.R. 1998), but few reports exist on designing and implementing systems to describe genetic resources of temperate fruits adapted to subtropical environments.
It has just been said that temperate species are marginally adapted to the subtropics (Westwood, 1875) even though many temperate species are either native Popenoe and Pachano, 1957; Pérez, 1997) or were introduced and are widely distributed there (Hedrick, 1917). ... Article also included the List of Variables Proposed to Describe the Most Important TZFTS: Apples, peaches, apricots and cherries.
