| Abstract:
In order to improve transient gene expression levels, suspension cells were bombarded with plasmid DNA at three concentrations (0.1, 0.5 or 1 µg DNA per shot). Two particule sizes (1.0 or 1.6 µm) also were shot onto cells deposited on medium containing 20 or 60 g.l-1 sucrose. Results showed that high sucrose medium stimulated cell response while the larger particule size also induced more cells to GFP expression.
