INITIAL ANALYSIS OF VITIS VINIFERA ALCOHOL DEHYDROGENASE PROMOTER REGULATION

Authors:   C. Tesniere, L. Torregrosa, C. Verries
Keywords:   alcohol dehydrogenase, anaerobiosis, berry development, biolistic, gene regulation, stress, promoter analysis, ripening
Abstract:
Two promoters of alcohol dehydrogenase from Vitis vinifera cv. Danuta (VvAdh1 and VvAdh2) were cloned and fused to luciferase as a reporter gene. The different fusion constructs were used to transitory transform by biolistic grape cell suspension of Vitis vinifera cv. Cabernet Sauvignon. Expression of these promoters was investigated in cells after 24 hours in normal and gazeous-nitrogen conditions. Results indicated differences in the control of activity between both promoters.
