Authors:   M. Pasqual, J.M. Cavalcante-Alves, N.N.J. Chalfun, L.F. Dutra, J.V. Bianchi
Keywords:   micropropagation, pear rootstock, nutritive media, tissue culture, Pyrus calleryana
Abstract:
Sucrose concentrations and temperatures were evaluated for in vitro proliferation of Pyrus calleryana L. which is promising as a rootstock in Brazil. The highest number of shoots were obtained at 27°C and the highest number with the best quality (> 1 cm) were obtained at 30°C. Increasing sucrose concentration up to 38 gL-1 increased shoot numbers and increasing sucrose up to 60 gL-1 increased shoot quality (> 1 cm)..
