Abstract:
Sucrose concentrations and temperatures were evaluated for in vitro proliferation of Pyrus calleryana L. which is promising as a rootstock in Brazil.
The highest number of shoots were obtained at 27°C and the highest number with the best quality (> 1 cm) were obtained at 30°C. Increasing sucrose concentration up to 38 gL-1 increased shoot numbers and increasing sucrose up to 60 gL-1 increased shoot quality (> 1 cm)..
