Abstract:
Mother plant shading to 70% by wrapping branches with opaque tape, or applications of 2 gL-1 IBA to hardwood cuttings did not improve rooting in Pyrus calleryana D-6, a useful rootstock for pear in Brazil.
The highest rooting (65%) was achieved in the control (no shade, nonbanded, no IBA).
