Abstract:
Eight clones of ‘Old Home’ x ‘Farmingdale’ (OH x F), Pyrus communis rootstocks for pears, are compared in a commercial pear orchard planted in Hood River, Oregon, USA. The comparisons were conducted using the pear scions ‘Starkrimson’, ‘Red Anjou’ and ‘Bosc’. The results show that the best yield precocity and yield abundance was achieved using the OH x F selection 87.
