| Abstract:
The selection of 6 new cultivars completes the pear breeding programme from Dresden-Pillnitz. Some of the cultivars from the first series have been removed. The aims of the programme were excellent fruit quality, good appearance and shape of fruit, early and abundant cropping and resistance to scab and fire blight. A special aim of selection was to find high-quality summer cultivars and cultivars with long storage characteristics. New cultivars are described in this document for all ripening groups. | |
