| Abstract:
Three new scab resistant apples were released in 1996 and 1997 from the breeding program of the Trento Section of the Experimental Institute of Fruit Culture: Golden Lasa, Summerfree and Golden Orange. Golden Lasa is a yellow apple, slightly orange blushed and strongly resembling Golden Delicious, while also similar to Golden Orange, which is even larger and more attractive, but less suitable for processing and baking. Summerfree is a very attractive early fruit, which ripens at the end of August. | |
