Abstract:
We report here the initial results concerning the transformation of AFLP markers into more portable SSR markers and their assignment to several groups of peach BAC clones.
These AFLP markers have been previously located in QTL intervals involved in peach fruit quality on the genetic linkage map of the cross ‘Suncrest’ x ‘Bailey’. The purpose of this study was to combine genetic and physical maps in order to both undertake comparative mapping and to investigate the conservation of fruit quality characters among several Prunus persica (L.) Batsch. genotypes
