| Abstract:
The development of pistachio species in Algeria faces the characteristic problems deriving mainly from the lack of experience in technology and conservation. The extension of some cultivars and the extinction of spontaneous cultivars causes the genetic erosion of the germplasm. The old genotypes have been neglected and little information is available for locating them. Our work will give a global idea of the geographical distribution of Pistacia atlantica on the Algerian territory, and its local use in the different areas. | |
