ISHS Acta Horticulturae 59: IV International Symposium on Virus Diseases of Ornamental Plants

RATE OF INFECTION OF VIRUS-FREE LILIES WITH LILY SYMPTOMLESS VIRUS IN THE FIELD

Authors:   T.C. Allen, R.G. Linderman
Abstract:
Isolation and vector control allowed only 1% infection of virus-free 'Enchantment' lilies grown in fields for three years. With no aphid control and being surrounded by lilies infected with lily symptomless virus, virus-free 'Enchantment' lilies were reinfected at rates of 8 to 15% in one year, and at 23% in two years.
