Abstract:
An orchard survey was conducted for assessing the nutrient status of Gemlik and Edincik-su olive varieties in the Marmara region of Turkey. For this study, 45 Gemlik and 9 Edincik-su olive orchards were selected and leaf and soil samples were collected.
According to the soil and leaf analysis, the total nutritional level of physiological balance values were generally lower than the standard levels. The physiological balance was disturbed against potassium and magnesium nutrients. Potassium, magnesium, zinc and boron deficiencies were noticeable in some olive orchards.
