Abstract:
Euparen® Multi, common name tolylfluanid, belongs to the chemical group of sulfamides with particularly broad fungicidal activity. It also shows acaricidal properties when used in several consecutive sprays. It has a multi-site mode of action against fungal diseases and phytophagous mites. Use rates vary from 0.075 – 0.125 % a.i. (e.g. Botrytis, Didymella, Drepanopeziza). Tolylfluanid is safe to all beneficial organisms relevant in IPM (e.g. bees, beneficial mites, anthocorids), has a favourable toxicological profile, is very rapidly degraded in soil and water and because strongly adsorbed by soil particles has no potential to migrate in deeper soil layers. Tolylfluanid is being developed and registered on a world-wide level, including on Rubus and Ribes spp.. The chemical and biological profile of tolylfluanid and efficacy results against diseases and mites in Rubus and Ribes spp. are discussed.
