Abstract:
Embryos obtained from interspecific hybridisations within the genus Ribes (R nigrum, R. rubrum, R. glossularia, R. aureum, R. glaciale, R. sanguineum) were studied.
Embryos at the torpedo stage, developing under artificial conditions, were found and isolated from seeds originated from 5 cross combinations ('Titania' x 'Roodneus'; Roodneus' x 'Titania'; 'Titania' x 'Macurines'; Captivator' x 'Czereszniewa'; 'Czereszniewa' x 'Captivator'). The percentage of embryos starting their development was higher on White's medium containing 1mg l –1 of kinetin than on this medium with BA addition or on MS medium.
Twenty nine hybrid plants were obtained.
