Abstract:
Two hundred and nine RAPD markers, 187 of which are polymorphic, were generated from 15 individuals of 5 Rubus species using 17 random primers.
The results from pairwise similarity and cluster analysis based on RAPD data, which are consistent with morphological classification, indicate that RAPD technique can be used in the genus Rubus L. for detecting genetic diversity and understanding relationship between taxa, and may be useful for systematic classification of the genus.
