TECHNOLOGICAL ASPECTS CONCERNING TRANSPORT OF GREENHOUSE TOMATOES BY REFRIGERATED MOTORTRUCK |

| Abstract:
The report treats about refrigeration of greenhouse tomatoes in refrigerated motortruck, a great attention have been paied for the temperature distribution and its consequence on colour development of tomatoes during transport. The experiment showed the fact that though the fruits were uniform coloured, consequently they had the same maturity stage at loading time, evident differences in fruit colour were noticed at the ending of transport (after 5 days). Thus, while the colour of tomatoes placed in the rear of refrigerated motortruck, where the temperature is lower, was very few modified, it was very much different in case of tomatoes placed in the front of the vehicle, but especially in the case of fruit which were placed in the middle of vehicle as a result of higher temperature in this area. The studies on the temperature distribution were performed in connection with boxes stacking system. | |
