Abstract:
In transporting tomatoes over long distances the aim is to have them reach the consumers without any deterioration in the quality.
The tomatoes must be firm, of a fine colour both inside and outside, and they must have a good taste.
The optimum storage temperature in the warehouse and during transport is 12°C and the humidity 85–90% relative humidity.
