| Abstract:
The State Commisssion for Sorts Testing and Homologation, (C.S.I.O.S.), within the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, is making trials in order to establish sorts and hybrids of greenhouse vegetables, which are to be introduced and generalized in production. The crop technology in testing works is the same with that one used in production. The material used in trials is represented by local and imported sorts and hybrids. The material selection and checking is done in three ways:
In order to complete the data, the State Commission for Sorts Testing and Homologation. works together with the respective Research Institutes. The results of 1972–1975 trials, evidenced the tomatoes sorts and hybrids of foreign origin: Rondo, Panase, Extase, Sonato, Surprise, and with the green pappers, the following hybrids: Sweetboy and Bruinsma — Wonder. The renewal, in due time, of the vegetable assorment for production, determines the success of products on international market. | |
