STUDIES ON THE INTENSITY OF SOME PHYSIOLOGICAL PROCESSES IN HOTHOUSE-GROWN GREEN PEPPERS

Abstract:
The response of plants to various cultural technologies is ultimately reflected in their yield. This response can be known by studying plant metabolism the level where physiological processes occur.

The literature (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) has little information about the intensity of physiological processes affected by various cultural practices, and this fact prompted us to investigate physiological changes in hothouse-grown green pepper plants.

The effect was studied of planting density in correlation with prunning in several planting periods where highest yields were obtained under hothouse conditions (1, 2, 3).

The experiment included 5 variants and 4 planting periods, as follows:
