Abstract:
Seeds from cucumber cv.
Sandra F1 were irradiated with helium-neon laser at 632.8 nm wave length and exit power 20 mW and with gamma rays from radioactive cobalt (Co60). The following variants were tested: seven fold laser irradiation1; gamma irradiation at a 10 Gy dose2; laser + gamma irradiation and gamma + laser irradiation, on the same parameters.
It was established that the combined application, of both laser and gamma rays leads to the induction of additional effect expressed in more intensive photosynthetic processes and production of higher quality seedlings, compared to the application of each kind of beams alone.
